Which is more useful, an iPad or a teacher?

     Most teachers have their own ways to teach, and help students to understand well. Nowadays, some teachers are using new technology such as iPads. In the near future it will be more common to use them in an educational situations as more technology develops. In this essay, I'm going to compare between an iPad and a teacher. What can they do for students? How can they help students in a classroom? How can they affect students' knowledge and marks, or even their lives? I think that both of them are important for students, and divide work among them.

     I think that both iPads and teachers have merits of helping students in their own ways. Teachers can teach students face-to-face which means they can know how students understand, and they can also devise each students' explanation. iPads can teach students using its screen and some interesting software, so students can have fun while they study. I think using the screen is especially good for Mathematics or Science because we can see colourful graphs or models, and they make students understand easier. There are 15 students and one teacher in the class, for example. All of them have their own iPads, and the teacher uses an iPad as a white board. If the students don't understand the explanation on their iPads, they can ask to the teacher. It's not a complicated system, and it will be more common within 10 years. You might think that we don't need teachers any more in the future, yet they will be more important in education.

     In my opinion, new technology can't help students with giving advice, nor can it understand their feelings. We can't expect iPads to understand their feelings or moods because iPads are just iPads. If there is no teacher in a classroom, it's complicated, and it doesn't work properly. The communication between technology and us is one-way. They can give us immense information, yet they can't give us personal advice. I believe that the relationship between teachers and students is always important for us.

     I also think that their experience at schools can affect their knowledge and their lives. When we are children we go to schools such as a kindergarten, a primary school, a middle school, and so on. They are extremely important for our education. Therefore, teachers are really effective for us. When I was in the middle school, I liked the Science class because the teacher was funny and he was helpful for students. Also, his explanations were excellent. So, because of that I could get high scores at Science, and I still love it. I think that most people have experience like me, and it wouldn't happen if there were only iPads in a classroom. However, teachers and students are getting used to using iPads in educational situations. There are a lot of possibilities, and they will become a more important part of our knowledge and lives.

There are a lot of merits of using both iPads and teachers in education. They can also help students from different angles, and divide their jobs. We can say that the new technology is already a part of our education, and it will affect our future education even more. When they are balanced well, our education will be much better.
