Gabriel - Watching Movies helps you learn English

Watching movies or television programs is a good way to improve your English. If you spend your time at home, you should try watching movies or TV programs, and they have to be in English. If you think that it's difficult to understand, you can put subtitles and try to compare them or just move on. Also, try to get the main words in the sentence and realise the meaning. Don't stop to watch it, yet you don't understand anything. I'll write about some techniques that you can use. First of all, you have to like it. It doesn't work if you try to watch boring things or things that you don't like. Try to watch movies or TV programs with easier speaking or formal speaking, so you'll understand more. At the beginning, try to watch news, documentaries and others. When you start to watch movies and you don't understand, come back and listen one more time, but don't do that often. Watching movies is definitely one of the best ways to improve or still practice your English, because you can train your listening, vocabulary, accent, speaking and also have some fun!

  1. Hey Gabriel!
Good article, I agree with you. When I have time I try watch movies with the subtitle, because for me it's better.

  2. Hey Gabriel,

I found your text very interesting and i aggree with you.

Besides, if you don't mind, i would like to suggest you to do some corrections in your text. Here you are:

    When you say:

1 - 'but don't stop to watch it, yet don't understand nothing.'
    - I think you should use 'even if' instead 'yet', for this case.

2 - `I'll right about some techniques that you can use`
    - I think you should say 'write' instead 'right'.

3 - 'When you start to watch movies and you won't understand, come back and listening '
    - I think you should say 'don't, instead `won't`.
    - `listen`, instead listening, in this case.

    Cheers,
    Carlos
