Anastasiya - music in Russia

Russian music includes a diversity of styles from ritual folk song to the sacred music of the Russian orthodox church, and also included the legacy of 19th century classical and romantic composers, like Tchaikovsky, Rachmaninoff, Glinka, Prokofiev, Shostakovich and others. Actually, each century of history is characterised by its own style of music. There are lots of famous Russian composers from the 19th century, who is still remembered and admired nowadays. The 20th century is famous by 'pop' popular music. The present day music is oriented to the West culture.
