Mar-A traditional spanish drink: Sangria

One of the most known Spanish drinks over the world is sangria. You can find this drink in almost all countries in the world, but if you really want to taste a real sangria you should go to Spain. The main ingredients for a real spanish sangria are: red wine, lemon or orange juice, soda, sugar, pieces of some fruits like orange, apple, peach..., also the peel of the orange and a licour or vermouth. In my country sangria is a popular drink but we don't usually ask for sangria if we want to go for a drink, we usually ask for a canha (an small glass of beer) or for a tinto de verano (red wine with soda or lemon fanta).

Rogerio - CAIPIRINHA

Brasil is a tropical  contry and we have samo refreshe cocktails but the must importante is The Caipirinha, It is made of Cachaça, sugar and lemon, It is very easy to prepere.
It is a refreshe cocktail and you can drink in a sunny day or in a party with your friands.

• 1 lime, quartered
• 2 tsp fine sugar
• 2 oz cachaca

The name of this kind of chinese wine is "Baijiu", means "white liquor", it often translated as "white wine". This kind of wine is even stronger than Vodka. White wine has some diffrent taste and smell, but for normal people in China, they can not distinguish all of them, because is hard to do it. In China, on some important days, people like to drink this white wine.

Mar-How to get a job in a research center

When I decided to come to Perth I was really worried about how I could find a job as soon as possible. I thought it was going to be so difficult but one month and a half later I am working in a research center called CSIRO (Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Resaerch Organisation). The story begans when I met a girl who was working there as a researcher. To meet people and talk with them about you and what you like to do is so important to get a job, don't be shy!. One week ago she heard about a colleague of her  at the CSIRO he was needing a person to work as a casual for a two months project...and she thought of me! If you want to work as a casual in the CSIRO you don't need any skills or degree because  it  is a simple job. For example, my job consists of helping a researcher who is studying the effect of drought in some plants. I have to water the plants, weigh them, harvest them or make different measures. They need casuals all the time for their different projects. These studies can take a month or a year and they can required full time or part time casuals. The CSIRO is an important and famous institution therefore working   there is good for your CV but also useful to practice English in a working and multicultural atmosphere.

Leo---Southbound Festival

This is a festival which young people in Australia want to join it. It is located in the beautiful South West town of Busselton, about two hours to drive there. The next festival will begin at 07/01/2012, end at 08/01/2012.
Southbound festaval have some music and comedy acts,also there are food and markets. And in this festival, you can see a lot of acts such as the Klaxons, Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, Public Enemy, The Hives, Kings of Leon, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, The National. You can camping there and enjoy two days weekend, it will cost you about 200 dollars, but it is the most intersting thing in Australia.

Rogerio- 2011 FIFA Club World Cup

The FIFA World Club is the major event arold soccer club, all the soccer clubs around the world want to win this competition. It is like   world cup but whit clubs  aurond the world.

 FIFA Club worl Cup will be in Japan in 2 cities, Toyota city amd Yokorama city.
The compitition starts on 8 of December and will finish  on 18 of December. It is an amazing compatition whit the champion of differents world leagues. The edition of this year cup has great teams, Barcelona  (Span) from Europe, winner of 2010-2011 UEFA Champions Legue, Santos (brazil) from South Ammerica, Winner of the 2011 Copa Libertadores, Monterrey (Mexico), from North America, Auckland City from New Zeland and we are wainting for the chapioms of AFC, CAF, J., LEAGUES.

There are many flights to Japan and them aren't expensive.

You can stay in a hotel or backpackers, you will pay average AU$40 per night.

Martin - Ice Cendol (Drinks)

Cendol is a sweet dessert broth that is found throughout Malaysia and Indonesia, as well as South Thailand and Singapore. In Malaysia, cendol is particularly popular in Penang and Malacca but it can be found in any part of Malaysia. The ingredients of cendol is coconut milk, palm sugar (gula melaka), red beans, grated ice and short starch noodles traditionally colored with pandan leaves. Nowadays artificial coloring is used.

Huyen-'' Che" traditional dessert in Viet Nam

In the summer time, the weather is very hot and everyone feels thirsty and wants something to drink."Che" is a type of drink so famous in Viet Nam. It is a sweet dessert which is protein rich. It is cooked with different beans such as "red bean","black bean","green bean" and sugar. In the south of VietNam you can find this kind of drink in small shops along the streets. "Che" is put in a glass with 3 type of bean, coconut milk and some ice.  When you drink it, you feel cool and you will foget the hot weather.

Speaking of alcohol in Japan, it is Japanese Sake which is very strong and made of rice molts and mineral water, but I would like to introduce you to non-alcoholic beer. Some people will say it is nonsence, but the taste is almost the same as beer.

Technology is improving from day to day, but schools' teaching method is not catching up. Through the use of advanced technology, teaching and learning could be quite different. Especially the internet, it is the network that everybody needs in their everyday life, and also in the business industry. Using internet access during class can interest students to learn. For example, like what I am doing in class, we use a blog to do our essays instead of writting it on a piece of paper and handing it up to our teachers. This is fun, because I can read other students' essays and leave a comment based on what they've written. So blogs can improve our writting and reading. Leo---Something You Can Do to Saving Money In Perth

We are overseas students, we need to pay for tuition and some different fees for studying and spending money in different places for living in Perth. How could we save money while we have a quality life? It is really an important problem we should think about.

We have some big parts in our life, it will need us to paying for.

First one, rent. As we know, homestay is really expensive when we study abroad. Students move out after 18 or when they find a share house. In fact, share houses are the best way to save rent. How do we find a good share house? We can check the information on websites like http://www.gumtree.com.au/. This website has lots of information about everything, of course including the rent information. We can find some nice houses which are near your school or really easy to get to your school, and also, it is much cheaper than homestay. But a good household is important, careful about those information on the Internet, maybe it is fake, they just want your money.

Second, food. This is the most inportant spending in our general life. Doing the cooking by yourself will much cheaper than have meals in restaurants. Perth;s restaurant always are over price, eating home is the best choice. You can do cooking with your friends who live in the same share house, you can eat everything if you can cook it. Then, buy some high quality and inexpensive food also can help you saving money. On Friday afternoon, Saturday afternoon, Sunday afternoon, there will be a very cheap market which selling vagetables and some fruits in Subiaco. If it is possible, go there on Friday afternoon, that time the vagetables are the fresh and good. Also, there is a market will open on Saturday morning, it is located in Canning Vale, meat, fish, vagetables, both good and cheap. But this is far from Perth City, so may be you need a car, and you need get up early in the morning, one last thing, in Canning Vale, buy more, save more. So invit your friends go with you, save money together.

Third, transpotation. This is we need to pay when we go for school or go to some nice places. Go to buy a student SmartRider is a good choice. It is much cheaper than others, but you may need a letter from your school to prove you are a student.

Huyen,Mai,Leo - Travelling around WA

We will show you some places to visit in WA.There is Rottnest Island, Penguin Island, Pinnacles, Fremantle, Cottesloe and Pinnacles.
Rottnest island is one of the most famous places in Australia. There are some Quokkas which are small and similar to rats. They are cute but you shouldn't touch them because they are dirty. The views are absolutely beautiful. You can hire a bicycle and ride around the island, yet there are a lot of hills, so it makes you exhausted. Be careful about snakes on the beaches. It costs around $100 including bicycle hire. You can catch a ferry to get there at Barrack St Jetty near the bell tower or Fremantle Jetty.
Penguin island is in Rockingham. You can go there by train at platform 2, it takes around 30 minutes. It costs about $30 for a return ticket.If you want to see sealions, you should spend more than $30 so you can walk to the island without the ferry because the sea isn't deep. I recommend you bring your own food and water, for it is very expensive there.
Fremantle and Cottesloe are the most famous and visited places in WA because many tourists go to Fremantle to buy souvenirs and to eat fish and chips. I'd recommend you go to Cicerellos where there is the most popular fish and chips. If you want to swim or surf, you should go to Cottesloe because it is absolutely superb and you can't miss the sunset.
The Pinnacles are about 280 kilometers north of Perth.When you go there, it looks like spikes coming out of the earth! You can have a picnic with your friends there, even you can drive inside all of those pinnacles, that is amazing, don't miss this place. One day trip for this place is the better. In fact, in summer, you can suffing there, but other times, nothing very interesting around those pinnacles, there is a small town, you can't see many people even in noon, and the food there is expensive. And the tickets to go inside the pinnacles is really cheap, 11 dollars for a car. Even though it is far to go there, it is worth it.

Huyen - Girls Generation, SNSD

"Girls Generation" is a popular girl group in South Korea.There are nine members in the group. They were born in 1989 and 1990.The group has become well-known after their song "Gee" was released. That is a very famous song in Asia.The group is called with another name, which is "SNSD", the acronym of the group's Korean name So-Nyeo Shi-Dae.Their first record  was released on August 5,2007. Do you know what they look like? They are tall, beautiful girls and they are called "girls with long legs". They are good at singing and dancing, and especially, they can speak Chinese, Japanese and English.The members have had various activities as actresses, acting in various video clips and solo singers for drama soundtracks. My favorite song is "Genie" but there are some other good songs too such as " Gee", "Kissing you" and "Run Devil Run". I usually find information about them on the internet. One day, I would like to go to their concert in Korea or VietNam. If you want to hear some of their music, have a listen on YouTube!

Mai - Aqua Pazza Recipe!

Here is a recipe for one of my favourite dishes - Aqua Pazza!

Firstly, I will show you how to cut the fish. It depends on the kind of fish and it is very difficult to cut them, even Japanese people. You need many practice to do it well. Now, I will describe how to cut snapper.

1.Prepare for fish on the chopping board.

2.Remove the scale from tail to head with a blade knife.

3.Cut out all gills, head and tail and then insert the knife into the inside and remove the internal organs and wash the fish well.

4.Cut and slide along the bone and turn the fish over and  repeat above steps.

Do you think can you do that? It seems to be easy, but I described this very briefly. If you are a beginner, it will take more than 30minites.
I would recommend you to buy cooked fish. It is much better!


Now, I will show how to make aqua pazza with this fish.

1.Prepare some tomatos, shellfish and chopped garlic.
2.Heat and put oil in the pan and cook fish on the middle heat.
3.Put the chopped garlic, some tomatoes and white wine in the pan.
4.Warm it up for five minutes.
5.If it doesn't taste good enough, put salt and papper.
6.Garnish it with parsley.

Martin & Nora & Roger - Perth Royal Show

Last year, I went  to Perth Royal Show. It was a wonderful day and everyone were happy. During lunch time, I ate a delicious sausage roll. While I  am eating the sausage roll, a roller coaster exploded amazing. It was absolutely horible because all the dead bodies were flying around the sky and one of the dead bodies fell in front of me and it looks like mince beef. But I was too hungry and I accidently ate the human meat with my sausage, and the blood as the tomato sauce. It was too late for me to regconize that i am eatting human meat. The human meat is really tasty. I start to fall in love with those amazing meat after my first try/

Mai Huyen Mar-A love story

"I had never seen anything like it", she said. "It was absolutely huge". It's Eiffel tower in France. I went to Paris two years ago. It was very surprised when I saw it. When I went into the Eiffel tower, I was absolutely terrified because it was very high. My boyfriend decided to go by foot upstairs and when he arrived to the top of the tower he was exhausted because there are many steps. We could see a views around Paris city on the top of the tower.It was absolutely superb. I didn't enjoy it because I was starving. We went to restaurant near the tower. I asked for a fondue that was really delicious also the waiter was gergous.In fact, he was so gergous, that when my boyfiend was in the batroom, I called him over and asked for his phone number.He gave me his phone number, yet he asked me " who is he?". I answered " he is my brother" Suddenly my boyfriend stood behind me. I introduced him to the waiter, "he is my brother." So my boyfriend was very suprised. At that moment, I felt really frightened because my boyfrie3nd knows me well, and he knows what i am doing. My boyfriend left the restaurant really furious but i didnt go after him. i decided to have a date with the waiter and his absolutely great muscles. he took me to his apartment wich was really dirty. i was amazed about that so i  came back to my good boyfriend. when i got at hotel, my boyfriend was packing his clothes into a suitcase and then i asked him "are you leaving?" He said "yes because you cheated on me and I don't believe you. I thought I should be sad or sorry, but in fact I feel really great. I know i could have a wonderful life without him.

Martha, Gabriel and Leo - Curious incident

Martin woke up and suddenly realized what had happened the night before. He was absolutlely horrified. He saw a guy, who was really tall and absolutely handsome, sleeping beside him. Martin couldn't remember anything about this man, because he was really drunk last night in a thrilled party. Nevertheless he was really exhausted, he screamed absolutely terrifiedly. Suddenly the man, who was sleeping, woke up and was absolutely astonished.
"Finally I am yours dear Martin" he said.
After a few minutes he reconized that guy was just his best friend, who was really tiered as well and felt asleep in his bed.

There are some examples for superstition in Germany.
So broken pieces can either mean luck or pitch. If you broke a mirror, you will have bad luck. But if you find china fragments, it will brings you luck.
Also if you find a four-leaved clover, it will brings luck and you can wish you something. But don't tell it to anyone and keep it a secret. Otherwise it won't become reality. It the same with shooting stars. If you see a shooting star, you have one wish. But keep it a secret.
Also there are many superstitionen around animals. If a storch builds its nest on your roof, you will live long and you will have many children. Or if a black cat cross your way, it will brings bad luck.

Nowaday , people in the world don't really believe in supertition anymore, but there are some of them still believe in it. Every countries they believe in supertition different, for example number 13 is bad luck for everyone in the world, but in Viet Nam number 14 and 23 are bad luck.And I 'll give you more example about that such as If your right eye is pulsating, you'll have bad luck and if your left eye is pulsating, it means opposite.If there is a dog come into your house, you'll have a lot of money.

Nowadays, Spanish people are not very superstious but we still preserve some old beliefs. In Malaysia, peoples believe that if a bird poos on their head, they will win a lottery. Chinese people in Malaysia believe if they buy a car number plate with number 8, 3 or 6, they will be wealthy. This makes sense because most of the rich peoples have a lots of number plate with the number 8. Chinese people's house will never have a 4th floor because if they own a house with a 4th floor, it will bring them bad luck or maybe death. It is said that it is the floor to Hell. Most of the people said that if someone swears in a jungle, they will never find their way out of the jungle, but if it is true, how can a person that is lost in a jungle tell this to other people?

Leo- Chinese Superstition

If you spread some cow's tears on your eyes, you will see the ghosts around you. But it is dangerous, because you may not be able to distinguish the ghosts and real humans. If a house always has some strange things happenning, like if some pets died for no reason, or if the householder was sick for long time since he moved to this house,  then we believe that there are some ghosts in the house, so we need an exorcism. Exorcists need to communicate with those ghosts, so they sometimes spread on some cow's tears on their eyes. Then he will find the ghost and do something to let that ghost stay away from the house.

How did you get your job?
Well!!!!!! what can I say? It's my dream job when I was a child. I often looked at my mum when she madeup the way she did that and I've been interested in it since then. After that I went to school where      teach how to    makeup, I spent 3 years to study it after I finished I have a job and I've work   for a popular shop in city.

What do you like most about it?
To me, I like to    makeup for people     are beautiful and they feel confident when they go to parties or even s.

What's an average day like?
Wow!!! It depends on    artist's progress report not me, becaues if they have a show, I will go with them. Sometime they have to go early in the morning and sometime late at night, so I don't know exactly what time is.

Have you made any sacrifices to do this job?
No, I haven't , I get on well with everyone in the shop     if I have some problem, they'll help me.And of course I hope it won't be happen to me.

What would you like to do next?
I'd like to carry on my job and I want to open a school where I can teach for another people who want to become makeup artist  succeed in the future.

What advice would you give to someone who wanted to do your job?
I only suggest that everyone can do that        only need your patient   and you will do whatever you want.

 I am a painter in London. I am famous because of my paint    style. Like most painter , we all have our different style . We are freedom.
How did you get this job?
I relly like draw    picture when I was young. When I grow up, I was falling in love with draw    picture and I choose art as my major.After I finish   study  , I decided to open a company for myself. That's how I gpt my job.
What do you like most about it?
To me, to be a painter is my dream. I love it and the reason for it is I can show my feeling from my picture . It is a relax    job. My style is more about people's feeling that when I draw some pictures and my funs they may have the same feeling with me.
What's an average day like?
I  have a relax    work time. I usualy start my job in the morning aroud 10 o'clock until 11. Then I have my lunch and I would like to read     newspaper. Then I start my job at 2 o'clock until 5. Sounds relax    and I only work 4 hours a day.
Have you made any sacrifices to do this job?
Yes,I do. I open my company   in London and my parents they are living in China. I don't have long holiday to go back to stay with them and I am homesick. I really miss my friends in China and I want   go       nightclub with them.
What would you like to do next?
I want sale some of my picture  and I am going to find a partner who can help me management my comopany.
What advice would you give to someone who want to do your job?
You better choose a place that    near your home and you  parents. When you bazy and if you live in a different country with them. You  may dont have time to see them. You need love    you life and really enjoy it.

I am a brain surgeon.

How did you get the job?
I went to the university, and then I studied a lot for six years.
After that, I worked in a hospital as a trainee for three years.
From these nine years, I studied a lot.
And also, I had a precious experience.

What do you like most about it?
When I see my patient getting better after the operation, it makes me happy.

Whats an average day like ?
I go to my hospital  at eight oclock. 
Usually, I work three days, after that I take a two days break.
During the work, I do an operation, talk to patient's  family about the patient's condition, and look at MRI images of my parient.
There are a lot of things to do.
That is my average day.  

Have you made any sacrifices to do this job?
Yes, I have. I have no time, so it means I don't have enough family time.

What would you like to do next?
I would like to continue my job, and do my research which anyone hadn't done before.

How did you get the job?
I have got a lot of auditions since I was a child. Although I didn't pass the audition many times, after I practised acting harder, I got to pass the audition. I practised crying, being suprised and laughing. And also, I got the skill for memorizing a script . My memory is amazing.


What do you like most about it?
I always perform with another actress and actor. They have good skill and it makes me motivated. I sometimes fall in love with the actor.


What's an average day like?
I don't have an average day. My schedule has been changed sometimes. When I have  a film, I am so busy going to  another country. It depends on my schedule.

Of course yes. Actresses should be flexible. I almost don't have any free time. Many paparazzi are always around me. It annoys me very much !! I dont have my privacy.

How did you get the job?

I've alway liked fashion since I was a child. I went to the university in London to study fashion design. When I got my degree I found a job to help a famous designer. Once I had experience I decided to work by myself and do my own designs.

What do you like most about it?

The most I like about my job is to travel over the world looking for new trends and clothes for my next collections. Also I like to change the topic of my collection every season and to could create new clothes almost all the time.

What's an average day like?

I go to my studio at 9 am. I draw new designs with my team. Then we choose the clothes for the design and sew the dress or the skirt. If I'm starting a new collection I have to travel for almost one month to do a research about a topic of my collection.
Have you made any sacrified to do this job?

I didn't make any sacrifice because I studied what I wanted and know I'm doing what I like. I can travel around the world with my family and I don't work very hard unless I have the launch of a new collection.

What would you like to do next?

I would  like to design furniture or a bed line. Also I want to continue designing women's  clothes. Maybe I  will launch a cheap line for young women early this summer.

What advice would you give to someone who wanted to do your job?

You need imagination and artistic sense. Then you have to study hard, sew many clothes and learn at least English to travel around the world.

I was always interested in cooking and preparing meals. So when I was 22 years old, I decided to open my own little restaurant.
What do you like most about it?
I really like that I can try anything. Also cooking is a kind of creativity. You can experiment and try something new.
What is an average day like?
Everyday I get up early in the morning to buy the freshest vegetable, and fruits. Then I spend nearly the whole day in the kitchen and after the opening hours my staff and I have to clean everything. So I am always very late at home.

Sure, I have less free time and I will probably become fat  if I try everything. So I am thinking about doing some sport, but actually there is no time.

I will try some new recipies. A friend of mine was on holiday in India and she inspired me for new meals.
What advice would you give to someone who wanted to do your job?
You have to be very passionate about cooking, because it is not an easy job. It is even sometimes very exhausting.

Gabriel - Pianist (the better one)

I'm a pianist. The famous one. Don't you know me? Come on !!!
How did you get the job?
My mom tought me since I was a child, so along the years I've got some good skills about that.
What do you like most about it?
I like the fact that I can express my desires and emotions on my piano.
What's an average day like?
It's really difficult. In an avarage day you have to wake up at the mornings and start to practice along the day as hard as you can. If you do that, you might be good like me, but that won't happen, sorry!
Have you made any sacrifices to do this job?
No I haven't. I don't like my family, so it's really easy to avoid them.
What would you like to do next?
After my Musical Tour finished I'll open my own piano school, that will be in New York, and try to teach good stuff to people. Otherwise nobody will be able to be as good as I am.
What advice would you give to someone who wanted to do your job?

To be a pianist is easy, the only thing that you have to do is train and try to learn something new every day, but if you pretend to be like me or play piano as I play, sorry, you are not good enough!

Martin - Chef

What's your job?
I am working as a chef in a 7-star restaurant. I can cook all kinds of foods.
How did you get the job?
I got the job because my dad owns a lot of restaurants, and I was forced to be a chef, so I have enough experience to take over his boring and lifeless restaurant business.
What do you like most about it?
I like it most when my customers smile when they eat my food. It makes me feel that I am the best chef in the world and no one can beat me.
What's an average day like?
Normally, I work from 7 in the morning to 5 in the evening. It is busy on the weekend.
Have you made any sacrifices to do this job?
I've cut my finger quite a few times when I was learning to cook and I "accidently" burned the whole restaurant up.
What would you like to do next?
I would start up my own business one day.
What advice would you give to someone who wanted to do your job?

Nora - My bed room

I have a lovely bed room which I designed by myself. It is colourful. I put the pink sheet and blue quilt for my queen bed because I love these two colours so much. Around the pillows, I put some toys which I got from my friends as a gift when I had a birthday party last year. There is one that I like so much which is a teddy bear. It has followed me for 4 years and I sleep with him every night. I have a big mirror which I bought from Ikea and a big wardrobe. I have some photos and I put them on my table so I can easily see them when I am  missing my parents.

Martha: Garden

In the following I want to describe our backgarden, which is really lovely. In our garden many different flowers grow, which makes the garden more colourful and enjoyable. The place which I like most is next to the old apple tree, that I used to climb on when I was a child. Another beautiful place is the terrace, which is partly covered by a roof. So you can enjoy the sun or the refreshing shade.  The roofed area is the place, where we used to sit together and talk about the day. It is also the place where we used to eat lunch or drink an iced coffee.

Chloe - Hong Kong

The city which is next to my city where we can go shopping and eat lots of different food is Hong Kong.The first time i went to Hong Kong,     when i was 10 years old. There are many areas and buildings in Hong Kong.
Hong kong is a beautiful city but it's crowd and there are many natives people.

I live in South perth, which is near PICE. It takes about 30 minutes by foot and Jetty.
I live with my husband who is Japanease. I came in Australia because of my husbands job.
After school, I go to a supermarket, which is named IGA.
I live in apartment which is a littel bit old.
My neighbours who are very friendly and sometimes we have a chit chat in elevator.

Mai-my own car

I have my own car ,which is new and is made in Japan. It is very annoying, because it often has a big alarm even if nobody tries to open the door. It goes off when it is windy and a big car is passing my car. I brought my car to the mecanic which is near the city  twice.However it still goes off again.I dont want to make my neighbours- annoyed anymore.

Huyen - Electric Bicycle

I have a electric bicycle in my home town which is amazine. It looks like motobike, but there are two pedals
below where you put your foot on. You need to chrage it before you use it. It's easy to ride, you just think it's a scooter.

Martin - My car

I own a car which my dad bought for me when I was 15. It has a semi-auto 6 speed gear that I can change to manual or automatic anytime. It has rims which are 21" inches. The speed of the car can reach 220 km/h which is more than the speed limit in all country. I have never crashed my car before but my brother crashed it last year, who thought that he was F1 racer.

Leo - My monster Laptop

The Dell Alienware laptop, which is used for gaming, is awesome. When I want play some 3D games, like COD 6, Need For Speed 14, I always use it. The LCD screen, which is very big for a laptop, is 18.4 inchs. And there are two video cards in it, and a Core i7 CPU, 16 gigabytes memory. In a word, this is a gaming monster!

Gabriel - Having a Look at The House

Yesterday afternoon, when the weather was sunny, I went to a renter house. That house, which was quite far from the centre, to have a look. That house, that was really old and dirty, was unfurnished, so my friends and I, who are looking for a house as well, decided not to pay for the applyment.

Squid stir fried with vegetables

Ingredients; 2 cucumbers, 2 tomatoes, half   small pineapple, 2 or 3 stick  of celeries, some spring oninons, 2 kg of squid

preparation; Washing      cucumber, tomato, pineapple, celery, spring onion and squid.
                    You need to chop all of vegetables middle size. Chop garlic finely.
                    First,we put some oil on the pan, and then we put garlic on it stir until it become  yellow.       And you can smell.
                    After that, we put     squid on the pan and we stir it about 3 minuate. And then, we take the squid off the pan.
                    We put oil and garlic on the pan again, after that we put cucumber, tomato, pineapple,celery,we stir it until   become soft.
                    We add some salt,sugar,and we taste    a little bit. At the end, we put         spring onion.
                    Now, you put the all ingredients on the dish. And then we put pepper on the top.
                    We eat this one with soysauce. If you like spicy      , you can put fresh chili in     soysauce. 

            

Gabriel and Chloe - Gabriel's Mixed Pasta

Gabriel's Mixed Pasta

Ingredients:

spaghetti, salt, oil, olive oil, onion, garlic, tomato sauce, bacon, a can of tuna, a can of chicken and mozzarella cheese.

Preparing:

Cook the spaghetti in a pan in the boiling water with salt and oil for 15 minutes.

While that you have to take another pan and put some olive oil, after that put the garlic, onion, tuna, bacon and chicken.

Mix and fry them for around 5 minutes and put the tomato sauce, then take the spaghetti that was cooking before and put in and mix all together.

While you mix them put mozzarella cheese into the spaghetti and cook for 5 minutes more.

Suggestion:
Eat it with chips and fish.

Martin & Nora - How to cook a Pasta

Ingredients:

500g of Pasta
1 Bottle of Carbonara Sauce
1 Medium Onion
100g of Mushroom
250g of Sliced Bacon
30g of Butter

100g of Cheese

1. Heat butter in a non-stick frypan, add onion, mushroom and bacon to cook for 10 minutes until it  is  crisps. Then pour the bottle of carbonara sauce into  the  frypan and bring to simmer. Then sprinkle some cheese on the sauce and turn off the stove.

2. Meanwhile, cook the pasta in a pot of boiling salted water and add some herbs and olive oil into it and bring to boil until it is soft. Then drain the pasta and pour the pasta into a big bowl and mix it with the carbonara sauce.

Martha&Rachel - Pancake

PANCAKE

Ingredients:

• 1/2 L          Milk
• 250 g         Flour
• 2                Eggs
• A pinch of  Salt

Preparation:

1. Mix all ingredients with a mixer till it becomes a dough.
2. Heat up the pan, then put some oil in it.
3. Put some of the dough in the pan and fry it.
4. Fry on both sides till it looks golden (color depends on how long you fry it).
5. Serve it with apple puree or fresh fruits for sweet, or may be with tomatos and cheese for savory.

Carlos / Martin/Gabriel - Good/Bad Teacher and The Class Mood

The quality of the English teacher can influence directly to the class mood. In other words students can be interested, and the class wouldn't be boring when they have a good teacher. Otherwise if the teacher is not so good or he just can't make the class room interesting the class will be boring, and the students won't properly learn, nor will they improve their English.

Sometimes, we have bad luck when who teach us isn't a good teacher. If the teacher can't teach us well, it won't help us with the studies. A bad teacher can make the class boring and the students can feel demotivated to study. The teacher sometimes has a good class content, yet it isn't enough if the teacher can't properly explain the ideas.

Otherwise, if the teacher doesn't have any patience with the students, the quality of the class might be low, and the students might not properly understand and learn.

Another example of teacher's behaviour that might not be good for the class is when they say something like “ohhh....you've already learn this”, or “you are in level 1 class, so....”. These kind of behaviour might not be good for the students and it might hurt the students on the inside.

Not being in a good mood, and when the class gets boring makes you stop learning English because you aren't interested in it.

I don't know what your opinion is about that, but for me when I have a bad mood, I'm often angry easily, and I don't want to study at all, for I just want to forget anything in my mind.

The boring class means there is nothing interesting in class or the teaching process isn't vivid.

For example:Teachers always give you a stupid topic, and you fell uncomfortable with your classmate.

When teachers give you a topic to discuss with your classmates about culture between your country and their countries, but when you start discussing they only talk to their friends who they like while you're sitting there in the same table, yet they pretend you're transparent. It makes you feel embarrassing, and you don't enjoy the class any more.

Studying in a good place is definitely important to help you to improve your English, but when the teacher is good it's much easier to learn. Teachers who respect the students, their ideas and opinions are important, but it's not just that. A good teacher should be happy, patient and funny, yet he is a human and we know that sometimes it's impossible. Everybody have problems and also a good student has to consider that the teacher hasn't got a good day. The good teacher has to be able to teach English for students that are afraid about the new language or afraid about distance and “new abroad life”. Sometimes what we think is good for us doesn't mean that it's definitely good for helping us. A good teacher can show that to us in an “easy-going” way and avoid problems with some boring students!

HOMEWORK - Funny Conjunction Stories

Hello my crazy students! Remember those stories you wrote last Friday? Well, here they are! Actually, the third story was far too inappropriate to put on our blog - if you really want it, you might still be able to find it in the bin.

According to the weather report from Yahoo.com, it stated that today is a sunny day with cool and breeze wind at night, and it will be cloudy and with a prediction of 67% that it might be raining till the next day. A friendly advice from me is that, bring an umbrella anywhere you're going, because weather forecasting do not 100% guaranty the prediction's accuracy. Base on the prediction given, the lowest temperature for the week will be 7 degree celcius and tomorrow, saturday and sunday will be a rainy day, and the highest temperature will reach 16 degree celcius.

Nowadays, English is one of the most popular languages to study. But for many learners, English learning may be a little bit hard. Some of them give up halfway. Also, there are some bad feeling about a person who learning English. How to solve the problem of learning and placate the bad feeling? There are some problem of  leaners, also some methods after this paragraph. First, to be free of external promblem and worries. Second, afraid of speaking English. Third, what will happen when leaners had a bad teacher. 

One of the most important requirements to properly learn English is to be free of external problems and worries. When you decide to learn English you have to be willing to use your brain only for learning English purpose. Learning English needs focus on it, so if you're having problems and worries about anything else you won't be able to properly learn English. Financial issues are an examples of worry that can make you lose your focus on English learning. Another example of worry than might stop you learning English is family issues . This kind of issues may change your mind's focus, because your family is the most important basis of life, so if you're having problems with it, you won't be able to use your brain for anything else.

If you really want to increase your successful chances to properly learn English you'll have to be willing to keep your head clear of external problems and worries.

When you feel afraid of making mistakes, it stops you learning. You don't want to make mistakes, for you think you have to speak English fluently and perfectly, this is what doesn't give you any confidence. In my case, it often used to happen. Whenever I was afraid of making mistakes, my voice got smaller than normal times. Even if my English was correct, nobody couldn't understand what I said because of my low voice. Moreover I cared about English grammar when I talked in English. Once I though about that, I stopped talking and started thinking about that. It stopped us communicating and made us uncomfortable. It's good to make mistakes, because locals might correct my mistakes. Once  I know the mistake, I won't make the mistake any more. Making mistakes help you so much. Just have a little confidence and be strong! No one cares about your mistakes.

Feeling tired in class is the major problem for all students, whether they are international students or local students. Feeling tired during class time can be frustrating for both students and teachers. There are two main causes of students feeling tired in class, and the cause is either from the teachers or the students. For example, me as an overseas student, am always influenced by my friends to hang out in the middle of the night even though I know I have to wake up early in the morning.

I will talk about causes from teachers, a good teacher or a bad teacher doesn't have any effect on students feeling tired in class. A boring teacher will always be the one that drags students into a boring mood. As most of people know, studying should be serious but that is only what a person that never attends school will say. In my opinion, no matter you're a school teacher or a college teacher, you should always make studying fun. Students that feel boring will never learn anything, because their mind will just think of going home and they will only pay attention to the time and not on the teacher. Lastly, for ages, these problems can not besolved because most of the students don't have any motivation to study.

Over all, every one have different feeling about learning English. You may feeling sick or make any mistakes, or feel tired. When u have that feeling, you should stop leaning at moment and take a relax. You should solve your problem first, than you can join you study again. Don't stop to watch it, yet you don't understand anything. I'll write about some techniques that you can use. First of all, you have to like it. It doesn't work if you try to watch boring things or things that you don't like. Try to watch movies or TV programs with easier speaking or formal speaking, so you'll understand more. At the beginning, try to watch news, documentaries and others. When you start to watch movies and you don't understand, come back and listen one more time, but don't do that often. Watching movies is definitely one of the best ways to improve or still practice your English, because you can train your listening, vocabulary, accent, speaking and also have some fun!

There are some kind of practice of English. Everything is good and you can find the best way for you. The most thing is to keep studying English. Learning English isn't easy and difficult but you have to be patient and practise it.
