This article is about comparing an aspect of Perth with my hometown: Chiang Mai, Thailand. Thare are many different issues and it is very interesting.

The first issue that I want to show is the food, especially Thai food. Tom Yum Khoong in Perth is ten times more expensive than Chiang Mai. I don't think I will buy Tom Yum Khoong in any Thai restaurants here, so cooking at home is far better than buying food. Secondly, the drink  and dessert  in Chiang Mai are much more delicious and a lot more enjouyable to eat than in Perth because the price in Chiang Mai are seven times cheaper than here. So I can eat as much as I want to. For example, a 350ml bottle of Coca Cola in Chiang Mai is 50 cents, but here it is 3.5 dollars. Last one the public transportation here is a lot more convenient because here there are slightly more alternatives than my hometown.

You can click on the names above to read about them. You can use any other website or book to help you also.

Good luck!

Caroline - pretend job

When I was 18 years old, I needed to choose what kind of profession I would have liked . I really like cooking and learning about different foods, but I never cook things if  I don't eat them . One example that I don't like is fish, nor do I make dishes with seafood . Because of that I didn't do a Gastronomy course .
After I thought a lot about what I would like to study , I decided to study economics. I studied at a traditional uni in my country. I'm a economist , but I haven't worked in this area . Since I graduated I have worked in the administrative area.
Before I moved to Perth I was working in the office of the glasses shop , for I was studying accountancy at PUCC, but I stopped the course . Maybe when I go back to Brazil I will continue the course.

Anna - planet video

I watched a similar video last year. It made me think all day, and I realised my life was not important at all, in the universe. We are so tiny as are atoms for us. While the radius of the earth is only 12756000 metres, my cephei is 3481250000000 metres! So, even if the earth seems huge for us, scientists showed us there are stars much bigger. This can be incredible, but this is the truth, the earth is tiny, and we are even tinier!

Nida- Health and science

On Wednesday I read about health and science and I chose one of many articles to read, so I was spending time on one article. There was talk about bone health.
It told me about how much Calcium  people should eat per day and the bone will be deteriorated in the future, but how much is enough,So that reason we have to prevent.we should eat 700-900 mg of Calcium per day and shouldn't eat exceeding 750-1185 mg a day. This is according to   Swedish researchers report.

I've been a doctor for 5 years. When I was in a university in Japan, I was majoring a psychology. However I couldn't get promoted very well, because psychology is not common in Japan, so I decided to study in Australia and became a doctor. The first time when I operated was horrible, there was lots of blood and smells. It made me sick, yet I did a very good job. I've been feeling confident since then. I'd like to start my own clinic in Perth, or in my hometown when I have enough experience, and earn a lot of money. I haven't done a big operation yet, like a brain operation. My boss says that I need more experience to do that, so I've been working a lot to have it. My dream is to have my own clinic and to be successful with big operations.

Anastasiya - Article from "Time"

I have just read an article from Time. It's about a place in Thailnd where you can go for a holiday.  It says that Koh Kood could become Thailnd next holiday bolt-hole. In that article you can find five reasons why you should visit that place in Thailnd. I think it is kind of an advertisement. It is short, however it is very understanding. That article is really useful because you can find some contacts for booking hotels and trips. You can learn about the most popular and interesting place for visiting. Also you can already know about some prices from this article. One more thing you can find out about thefood, that is important for some people. So, I think the goal of that article is making tourists come and enjoy their holidays.
